This crazy lawsuit in this article is just one of a long list of ridiculous lawsuits that come out of America! Remember back in the day when these crazy lawsuits all started? It all started after 79-year-old Stella Liebeck bought a cup of takeout coffee at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Albuquerque and spilled it on her lap. She sued McDonald’s and a jury awarded her nearly $3 million in punitive damages for the burns she suffered.

Imagine ordering a ‘hot coffee’ and then spilling that ‘hot’ coffee on your lap and getting rewarded $3 million for it? Only in America!

Well, Amanda Ramirez has since jumped on the crazy lawsuit train and filed a lawsuit against Velveeta. The instructions on Velveeta’s ‘Shells and Cheese’ cups state that it takes 3.5 minutes to prepare for consumption. But Amanda begs to differ.

The Florida resident is now in the middle of a $5 million class-action lawsuit against Kraft foods company. It was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida’s Miami Division on November 18.

Amanda states in her lawsuit that the Kraft cups take far longer than the 3.5 minutes to prepare for consumption. There is no information in the lawsuit stating how long it takes Amanda to make one of these cups…but it could simply be a case of her not knowing how to use a microwave properly.

The Kraft company reached out to FOXBusiness and said: “We are aware of this frivolous lawsuit and will strongly defend against the allegations in the complaint.”
