In colonial America days, lobster was so plentiful that it wasn’t considered a delicacy, it was actually served to prisoners.

Because they were inexpensive to produce, the first Hershey’s chocolate bars with almonds were created in 1908. Hershey’s was able to maintain the candy’s nickel price by substituting the nuts for some of the more costly milk chocolate.
