True Crime is a major category in the podcast world. There are a ton of awesome true crime podcasts out there and we thought we would share our favorites!

1. True Crime Garage

Hosts Nic and the Captain invite you to grab a chair, grab a beer and join them as they talk some true crime.

True Crime Garage is our number one pick. The podcast is incredibly well done, the format is brilliant and the story telling is incredible. Nic and the Captain don’t just tell a story, they dive deep and often times provide various viewpoints on scenarios taking place in the story, that allow the listener to expand their thought process on the crime in question.


2. That Chapter

That Chapter Podcast is your home for the craziest true crime cases, weirdest plots, and strangest horrors from around the world, from back in the day to today. That Chapter Podcast has it all, telling you the scariest stories with a little laugh or two along the way.

If you are into True Crime, you should know who Mike is from That Chapter. Mike is a very successful true crime Youtuber. Mike has recently put together a Podcast in order to expand his true crime storytelling. You can check out the True Chapter Youtube channel here.


3. Crime Junkie

Crime Junkie is a weekly true crime podcast dedicated to giving you a fix. Every Monday, Ashley Flowers will tell you about whatever crime she’s been obsessing over that week in a way that sounds like you’re sitting around talking crime with your best friends. 4. Serial

Serial is a podcast from the creators of This American Life, hosted by Sarah Koenig. Serial tells one story — a true story — over the course of a season. Serial has won every major award for broadcasting, including the duPont-Columbia, Scripps Howard, Edward R. Murrow, and the first-ever Peabody awarded to a podcast. Serial, like This American Life, is produced in collaboration with WBEZ Chicago.  It comes from Serial Productions, which released S-Town in 2017, and has more projects in development.


5. Unsolved Mysteries

Unsolved Mysteries is the official podcast of the hit true crime TV show, Unsolved Mysteries. When listening to the podcast, you will feel as though you are listening to the old TV show. The podcast is laid out just like a TV show, offering real victims, witnessing and family members involved in each case. It’s totally worth a listen!
