After the Internet went wild with anger and despair over a video clip of the Carpool Karaoke car being pulled on a trailer, James Corden takes a moment to weigh in with the truth.
A recent video popping up on Twitter showed the Carpool Karaoke car being towed while filming a segment with Justin Bieber. The video has been viewed over 13 million times and has cause quite the reaction across the web.

While some replied with hilarious comments, such as, ‘This is the worst lie since Santa’. Others were quick to have Corden’s back — “Y’all when I saw One Direction filming Carpool Karaoke James was actually driving,”.
None the less, during the most recent taping of ‘The Late Late Show’, Corden went on the record to explain the video and to let the world know that most times, he truly is driving the car during filming.
Corden stated that they only tow the car if he and the subject are doing something that could potentially be dangerous, such as an outfit change, or dancing.
So in reality, Corden is just being super safe, plus, I’m sure there are a ton of insurance guidelines that the show must follow, especially when dealing with mega famous people.
