Katy Perry is going to be judge on the new American Idol and she isn’t being shy about the massive amount of money she is receiving to do so!
It is reported that Perry sealed a whopping $25 million deal with ABC to sit as one of four judges on the American Idol judges panel.

Multiple sources tell us ABC was desperate to sign a name before the Upfronts last week, when honchos announced she was the lead judge. As one source put it, “Katy had all the leverage. If ABC ended up announcing the show without a judge, they’d be screwed.”
As we reported, ABC tried to get Kelly Clarkson but at the last minute she jumped ship and went to NBC’s “The Voice.” NBC also snagged Jennifer Hudson.
ABC is also trying to get Ryan Seacrest back as the show’s host. Seacrest was making $15 million per season at his peak. When Jennifer Lopez acted as a judge for the show, she too made a cool $15 million. So, Katy Perry blew both of them away!
