Now this is some bulls**t for all you who live in California!
While exploring a mine in the hills of Baja California, Michael Wall and Jim Berrian didn’t find typical gold…they found scientific gold.
Crawling across the abandoned mine shaft was an 8-legged furry beast that would scare the living daylights out of anyone! But not these two scientists. These guy snagged up the baseball sized spider and took it back to the lab for research purposes.
The crazy thing…this was a species of spider that the two scientists could not identify. In fact…no one could. Crazy right? The two had discovered a new species of spider…right in Baja, California! The new species is called Califorctenus cacahilensis.
I’m sure you are wondering if a spider of this massive size is venomous…and yes…the spider is indeed venomous, but it generally only flexes its fangs for digesting food. Most spiders are skittish, and their first line of defense is flight not fight.
How would you like running into this spider? NOPE!
