These containers tend to accumulate food residue and may start to smell. Rinsing them with water is not enough. Every now and then, spray some Hydrogen Peroxide, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe them down. Keep things sanitary. Especially if they are containers for food. Remember that germs can move around and transfer to other objects. You don’t want to have your kids eating contaminated sandwiches. A little common sense please.
