As A Disinfectant For Minor Wounds

This is the most widely used purpose of Hydrogen Peroxide. Minor scrapes and cuts are treated with Hydrogen Peroxide to clean the wound, and many believe that the bubbling effect that happens means that bacteria is being killed. It does not sting when it bubbles. What is actually happening is that upon application, an oxygen molecule is released (the bubbles) which leaves behind water (from H202 to H20). While it does clean the wound, it is recommended to only use it once on the wound so that it won’t prevent friendly bacteria from healing the wound. However, for major wounds and cuts, best to see a doctor. Disinfecting a wound does not mean it will heal.
