Many households swear it does help to get rid of mouth sores or canker sores. These are the blister-like wounds on your lips or at the sides of your mouth. They get irritated by salt or spices. These sores normally heal on their own eventually but hydrogen peroxide can hasten the healing. Use equal amounts of water with Hydrogen Peroxide and swish it around the affected area then spit it out and rinse with fresh water. Too large a concentration of hydrogen peroxide can cause irritation and blistering. Do not swallow the mixture. Hydrogen peroxide is not safe to ingest.
