Kim has a way to compartmentalize and shared that her kids have only one playroom where they can run wild, be creative and play like kids do.  She exclaimed, “Our home décor taste tends to be minimal and modern but the kid’s playroom is the one room in the house where I let them run wild. That’s where the markers, paints and colors are.” She added, “By the time they’re done there, they have no desire to take a pen to our white furniture, lol!” She learned her lesson about having a tricked-out playroom when North was a baby.  She told Architectural Digest: “One time I walked in and my daughter had purple nail polish all over her little kid’s vanity, all over her toys, and all over the walls and I had to just left the room for not even five minutes.”
