For the Kardashians, their family name is their brand.  They have spent the past decade building their own brand and have endorsed countless products on the planet.  It has paid off since the Kardashian brand alone in now worth more than US$ 150 million.  Needless to say, they will go to great lengths just to protect their brand especially when someone is attaching themselves to their name.  Remember Blac Chyna?
