Now this is something you don’t see everyday!

The incredible footage was captured by a geologist who just happened to be filming when the rock fall occurred on a mountain in the Swiss Alps.

According to local reports the 2,000 cubic meters of solid rock that fell caused an avalanche on the mountain of Mel de la Niva, near Evolene.

Luckily no one was rock climbing at the time!

You just never know when Mother Nature is going to make a change, that’s why it’s good to always keep a camera rolling! Like that one time where a snowboarder was caught in a massive avalanche and caught it all on camera.
