In this day and age, being a transgender isn’t as shocking as it once was. People have come to accept gender identity and how important it is to the person. While this has now become acceptable, the tone can be quite sensitive still. Oftentimes, only the closest people of the person know the crux of the situation and are the ones gutsy enough to find humor. This person is the son, which means he is a close member. However, old habits die hard and this person wanted to welcome their father while keeping it light. We just don’t know how he’ll feel about making it so public.
