There has been a ton of controversy surrounding Britney’s father, Jamie, especially since the conservatorship began. While he was very supportive of his daughter’s dream to become a star, he was reportedly quite concerned about how much it would cost him, as well as how much he would get out of it in the future. Many claimed that he didn’t hold a regular job either, having worked as a cook, tried opening a gym, did construction, and other odd jobs to pay the bills. Eventually, he had no choice but to declare bankruptcy when he couldn’t make ends meet. To many, it would seem like Britney was his ticket to a much better life, especially now that she’s reportedly worth $115 million.
