Nicole Coggins, of Liberty, SC, thought it was a Christmas miracle when she bought a winning $500 “Holiday Cash” insta-pay ticket.
Then she bought three more — all winners.
“I thought maybe there’s something wrong with the machine. This can’t be real,’’ she told Greenville TV station WYFF.

Well…it wasn’t real. When she tried to cash the “winners,” she was told they were invalid.
A glitch in the programming had created too many winning “add a play” tickets for two hours on Christmas Day.
If the state decides to honor the tickets, it will have to pay out roughly $19.6 million.
