Most of us do enjoy grabbing a few drinks at a bar, and those who are alone most likely sit at the bar. Alone, but not lonely, the bartender is there who you can talk to. Bartenders are used to having all kinds of people sit at their bars. They have heard all sorts of stories. They are normally friendly, and will often chat with you from time to time. It is the hospitable and polite thing to do. However, some bar patrons may not realize it, but sometimes they say or do things which can offend the barkeep.
