Do you think that it’s a coincidence that this giant flying fox, which is actually a species of fruit bats, carries the real name ‘Pteropus vampyrus.’ We swear, we aren’t making that up! Not only it this type of bat considered one of the biggest of its kind, it’s no wonder that folklore illustrates vampires as being transformed into bats, and vice versa. If we were on a trip to Australia and saw one of these babies flying around, there’s no doubt that we’d hide ourselves away in fear of one of these wide-winged creatures trying to suck our blood.
