Amazing video captured by a drone in the South Pacific shows a trio of whales being remarkably agile despite their bulk.
The six-minute video, recorded with the help of a drone, is strikingly beautiful. Blue ocean waters around the French territory of New Caledonia contain the giant mammals approaching and then swimming beneath a boat.
The whales dive down and then occasionally surface to expel water from their blowholes, repeatedly circling the boat as it sits idly in the water.
The passengers, who gather along the boat’s rails, are clearly enraptured as they watch the impromptu water ballet.
The whales reportedly swam under and around the boat for fifteen minutes before retreating, leaving the spectators and the thousands of people now watching on video amazed at these awe-inspiring creatures.
