The project took one week to accomplish, but the Kumpula couple was incredibly excited to bring it back to Valarie and show her what Gerald had done. She had no idea that they had made it into a special memorial bench for them, believing that they had just repurposed it for themselves. But from the kindness of their hearts, strangers no less, the couple was going to give her a priceless gift, more so because it was done purely out of compassion and understanding of what a young grieving mother had gone through with the loss of her infant son.
