While London has a fantastic rail system, the tube can be horrendous from 7:30 to 9:30 am and between 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Take note of this. It can be an unpleasant experience, particularly for first-time travellers with luggage. Trust this to be a fact. Save yourself the trouble of rush hour. Take it for a pleasant ride any other time.
