Cinderella was probably the most popular Disney movie there ever was. People loved the idea of a rescued princess who found her true love after a single night of dancing. While the true story of Cinderella, which was written by Charles Perrault, had a few similarities with the Disney version, the cartoon was definitely way more PG. As always, Disney was able to monetize and earns loads of money from their movies, and Cinderella was no different. These days, the original VHS can get at least $1000 too.
