DeMille award for lifetime achievement in the arts at the 2013 Golden Globes to announce that she was coming out. Jodi said that her sexuality had never really been a secret to the people who were close to her, but she wanted the world to know who she truly was. Since then, Jodi has been a spokesperson and advocate for the LGBTQ community. In April 2014, she married fine arts photographer Alexandra Hedison.
