The cost also depends on the facility, location, and other factors such as if you pay in cash or bill your insurance provider. The good thing about it is it’s faster than MRI, and CT scans take just 15 to 30 minutes. But if the CT scan requires a contrast dye, it may take a few hours. However, this is only done when clearly needed due to the possibility of increased risk in radiation exposure that may lead to cancer.
