Kelli Pearson

A California couple has created a stunning tribute to late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.

Kelli Pearson and her husband designed the display in Pleasanton, a San Francisco Bay area suburb, according to KPIX.

Kelli Pearson created the design by using several pictures of Bryant, and her husband, Pete Davis, loaded the image into a specialized lawn mower as he made it come to life.

The result is a 115-foot tall and 92-foot wide image of Bryant in his Los Angeles Lakers jersey holding a basketball. The couple’s company, New Ground Technology, shared a video of the project Wednesday on its YouTube channel.

The grass is blown in one direction or another to create the light and dark contrast, so fans will only be able to enjoy the image of Bryant for a couple days until the grass returns to normal.

This is such a cool and unique tribute to a man loved by many.

Bryant was one of 9 people who lost their lives in a horrific helicopter crash. Among the victims was Bryant’s 13-year old daughter, ‘Gigi’.

All the victims lives should be honored. Rest in peace to all.
