Worse yet, during other special occasions, Gregory Jr. was given a basketball hoop and a PlayStation, and yet he was never allowed to use either one. Meanwhile, the other kids that were in their home could play with the toys any time they wanted. To say that Gregory Jr. was treated unfairly is a major understatement. He wasn’t allowed to watch TV while his siblings din, but instead, he was forced to write out words from the dictionary, something they called punishment work for whatever reason his stepmom deemed fit. He explained, “She made write out words from the dictionary in a school book every morning. And if I did not finish the words before 8:45 I would not get any food for breakfast. And if I had not finished by 12:00 I would not get anything to eat for lunch.”
