It’s no secret that food joints like Burger King and Wendy’s are good at the Twitter troll game, but this time they had a few friends join in when it came to trolling IHOP – or IHOB rather.
In case you have been under a rock all month, IHOP (International House Of Pancakes) has decided to change their name to IHOB (International House Of Burgers). You can see why the following is so funny now…
Yes, they actually went there! But they were far from done! They even changed their Facebook cover photo too!
Thennnn…they updated their Twitter account.
Burger King only made one public statement on the matter…but it’s an epic one!

Burger King wasn’t the only chain to jump on the trolling band wagon…they were simply the pioneers.
Remember when you were like 7 and thought changing your name to Thunder BearSword would be super cool?
Like that, but our cheeseburgers are still better.

And then they came out with the incredibly awesome BURN!

Even the Waffle House jumped in on the action…and they sell burgers, HA!
Yes you do. My original draft of the tweet included that but it was too much of a mouthful like y’alls awesome burgers

Even Netflix got in on the action…what the…
brb changing my name to Netflib
— Netflix US (@netflix) June 11, 2018
according to Forbes, the name switcheroo was just a marketing gimmick to introduce IHOP’s new line of Ultimate Steakburgers, a move intended to help the chain move beyond the breakfast category.
