The queen of red-carpet mishaps is undoubtedly Jennifer Lawrence. There is something really endearing about her overall goofiness that you just can’t hate her — but when she fell on her dress on the way to accept the Oscar for Best Actress in 2013, you couldn’t help but “oof”. Miscalculating her steps, the Silver Linings Playbook actress fell forward, and then buried her head in her hands in sheer and utter embarrassment. When she received the award, the audience applauded and gave her a standing ovation. Perhaps because she was still reeling from the fall, she said, “You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell, and that’s really embarrassing, but thank you.” However, it is far more likely that they were applauding the first time Oscar winner for her wonderful performance in the movie.
