The Cannes Film Festival in 2018 saw French actress Marion Cotillard all pretzeled up on the red carpet. Cotillard was retrieving one of her dangly earrings that had fallen onto the red carpet and was having a bit of a time getting down to ground level due to her form-fitting white jumpsuit and tight corset. Add stilettos to the mix, and you can see why she needed to grasp the hand of another attendee so tightly. If we were her though, we would have asked that young child in the background to be a dear and get the earring.
