Humble Beginnings In Germany

Every “somebody” starts as a “not-really-anyone” somewhere in the world, but Alica Schmidt, born on December 27, 1998, was determined to be more than that.  Growing up with a supportive family in the city of Worms, Germany, perhaps it was only a matter of time until a talented and beautiful Alica would discover her love for track and field. Although she would be focusing initially on middle distance running, the young athlete would later start sprinting by the age of 15 and sooner rather than later, her heart and passion for the sport had turned her into a respected figure in her homeland early in her athletic career. We’re guessing even she hadn’t anticipated the kind of exposure she’d be getting out of the sport later on though…
