Considering how far she had come from a budding German athlete to a rapidly growing influencer and athletic professional, it was as if just like that, suddenly Alica found herself on the cusp of stardom. And in spite of garnering an invitation by Playboy to model in an edition of their magazine (with, I repeat, a cold USD 2 million offer!), she firmly declined to appear in the publication and remains adamant about focusing on her track career. She is hell bent on avoiding any distractions, even actively avoiding any entities from the media who are obviously only interested in her body as she is far more invested in her running. In an interview, Alica expresses her bewilderment at the title of ‘Sexiest Athlete in the World’ that she’d been bestowed: “I do not know why I got this title. Sports clearly comes first. There are thousands of girls on Instagram who look good and still do not have as many fans — and that’s just competitive sports for me.”
