Intermittent fasting has become the new craze not only amongst health fanatics and fitness freaks, but also with any person that wants to lose weight, shed fat, and get in shape. There are many benefits to fasting and intermittent fasting. It’s true that intermittent fasting helps you lose weight, but it also gives your more energy and is a great gut cleanse routine to try out to help with bloating and constipation.

However, I do understand the people that may be put off by the idea of intermittent fasting. Not eating throughout the day? What are you insane? But before you close this window tab, hear me out, because it’s not as bad as you have imagined in your head. In fact, intermittent fasting is interesting and easy. And if you want to pull it off, but you’re struggling with doing so, then here are 4 successful tips to help you with intermittent fasting.

#4- Choose The Right Fasting Period

A lot of people assume that intermittent fasting is simply not eating all day every day. Well, needless to say, that’s not the diet, at all. In fact, there are many forms of intermittent fasting. There is the “16/8 method”, which is fat for 16 hours a day, and eat for 8. There is the “5:2 method”, which is to eat regularly for 5 days out of the week and reduce calorie intake to around 600 calories for the remaining 2 days. There is also the “Eat Stop Eat” where you eat one day, fast the next, and then eat again the day after.

So you see there are many ways you can perform intermittent fasting. My personal favorite and the one that I find works best is the “16/8” method. You can fast for the better part of your evenings and early mornings, and have an afternoon filled with a healthy eating regiment.

#3-  Gulp Down On Prebiotic Supplement Drinks

While you’re fasting, you’ll be doing your body and yourself a favor by maintaining a steady intake of vitamins and nutrients, without breaking your fast. The beauty of intermittent fasting is that you’re allowed to intake drinks and supplements to help you go through your day. That’s why you need to opt for Prebiotic and Probiotic supplement drinks like KOSO that will not only provide you with the nutrients you need, but will also aid in gut health, bloating, and constipation.

#2- Fill Up on Water and Green Tea

Both water and green tea are key ingredients that you’ll be needing for your healthy intermittent fasting and gut cleanse. Water will help boost your metabolism and keep it functioning properly, especially if you are not consuming foods and solids. Green tea is also very helpful because of its fat-burning component and how it helps your body burn fats and shed weight. Filling your body up on liquids like water and green tea will help keep you filled and energetic long enough till you can break your fast and start eating again.

#1- When You Can Eat, Eat Right

People tend to keep an eye on the clock for when they can break their intermittent fasting period so that they can gulp down as much food as humanly possible. But that is sort of counter-intuitive to the fasting process as a whole. You want to eat right when you can eat and not opt for the regular fatty foods and carbs. In fact, try to plan your meals with the next day in mind, so that you fill up on the right nutrients to last you the next 16 hour fasting period.
