Rupert Murdoch and Anna Maria Torv: $1.2 Billion

Rupert Murdoch is a media mogul and a very rich man. He was married to Maria Torv, a journalist, for 32 years. In that time, they had 3 wonderful children together. Unfortunately, their plans weren’t always aligned. When Murdoch chose to retire, they also decided to have an “amicable separation” in 1998. Details of how this happened weren’t divulged to the media but they say that Torv got a whopping $1.7 billion out of it. Moving on was also quite quick. Murdoch married Wendi Deng just 17 days after the divorce papers were filed. Torv, on the other hand, married William Mann 6 months later.
