Looking a lot like a Grecian goddess, Alexandra Bastedo was a British actress that became famous for her sexy spy role in the 1968 series, “The Champions.” Although she was born in Sussex, her ancestry shows that she also had Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch and German descent. Her childhood aspiration was to become a veterinarian, but life had other plans for her and she ended up becoming an actress after beating out 4000 other girls for a role in “13 Frightened Girls.” Although she never followed her childhood dream, she did become an activist for animals’ rights when she was older.
