It was there at Seynica that she first started modeling children’s wear. At 18, she moved to Milan where she won a modelling contest, awarding her with an international contract. By 1996, Melania already had bookings in New York and was living there for work, thanks to Paolo Zampolli, a friend of her husband-to-be, who discovered her in one of his scouting trips in Paris. She was signed under Irene Marie Models, and later, which is no surprise at all, Trump Model Management.
