The start of the family’s tragedy occurred on October 10, 2013. Michael happened to be out shopping with his son at the supermarket when suddenly, he would have a massive heart attack despite only being 46 years old. At the time, his son Ellis was only 13-years old, and although they had called for help immediately, it would take an agonizing 20 minutes before the paramedics would arrive to pick Michael up. And all throughout those 20 minutes, his son watched Michael helplessly as he attempted to gasp for air until he could no longer remain conscious, finally passing out.
