After what had happened to Michael and the negligence of the DeGraff hospital staff, there was an investigation into Michael’s case. And what the family found out was going to be even more heartbreaking. Apparently, Michael hadn’t died because of the heart attack, which is what they originally thought. He had died because of ‘a punctured lung suffered during CPR.’ What this meant was that if Dr. Perry and the staff had just bothered to listen and truly look into Michael’s case, they could have saved him and both Michael and Tammy’s lives would be very different today.
