Cheap HUD Displays

Head-up display or HUD is basically information about speed, mileage, etc., conveniently appearing onto a flip up screen on the windshield just above the dashboard. Seems to be a modern amenity. Hi-tech feature, but not all are the same. There will always be cheap imitations of great gadgets, and the cheaper ones are not clearly seen, or are located to low for a driver taller than 5 ft. 9 in. So, instead of helping the driver, they are a dangerous distraction. Another feature that can compromise the safety of the driver. Some features really don’t help out. Worse, they can negatively affect safety. So what do we need them for?
