Low Resolution Backup Cameras

Backup cameras are a legal necessity mandated by Federal law for new cars. They are there to assist the vision of the driver, and so why are there still some low resolution cameras being used? That should be a crime in itself. The picture appears grainy during the daytime, and much worse at night. Instead of helping the driver, they hinder the driver’s vision and safety. There should be an agency that inspects all the new features of a vehicle to see if they will prove to be a liability instead of a benefit. If there is one, then they seem not to be doing their job properly.
