Gordon Hartman had a major brush with reality when his then 12-year old daughter with special needs was being shunned in a hotel pool while his family was on holiday. He soon came to realize that other children just didn’t know how to relate to Morgan, given her cognitive delays and other disabilities. It made Hartman think about where he could bring his daughter to make her feel welcome and accepted, only to realize that no such place existed. He decided then and there that he would build such a place himself, somewhere that every single type of person could feel loved and well-received, despite their mental and physical setbacks. See how Morgan’s Wonderland became the one place where people born with special needs come to play, are never left out, and definitely feel the love.
