While there are a ton of male rockstars that we can choose from to fill the airwaves with their electric guitars and fabulous voices, Joan Jett managed to be one of the female ones to make a name for herself. Jett was a founding member of the 70s band The Runaways, which also happened to be an all-female band of course. Not only did they travel the world to sing at sold out concert venues, but even after the band broke up, Jett became the most famous one of the bunch. Her hit “I Love Rock ‘n Roll” is still one of the most listened to rock ballads from that time too, and Jett earned herself the very deserved title of ‘Queen of Rock ‘n Roll.’
