America’s First Supermodel

Many will argue about who they think was the very first supermodel but most will tell you that the person that deserves this title is Cheryl Tiegs. Her “pink bikini” photo from Sports Illustrated back in 1978 totally put her on the map and her career just soared from then on. As seen in this particular photo, she was asked to pose for tons of swimsuit shoots, many of which landed her either on the cover or inside the Swimsuit Edition of the popular sports magazine, amongst others. They also probably ended up on every bedroom wall of the boys back in the 70s and 80s, and well, can you blame them?
