When attending a wedding, there were always rules to be followed. The first of these set of rules was: never wear white to a wedding. If wearing the same color as the bride was bad enough, wearing an actual wedding dress when you aren’t the bride is definitely far worse. People often followed this rule and always avoided committing a faux pas. That is, unless the bride asked for a specific theme. Otherwise, other colors would be so much more accepted.
