The Specials Are “Special” For A Reason

Normally, customers have all the faith that when they sit down at a nice restaurant, it’s going to be clean, the food will be amazing, and the service will be impeccable, but unfortunately, that’s just now always the case. In most restaurants and cafes, they offer “Specials” of the day, which is basically food choices that they push for. But one server in a Los Angeles waitress explains that they’re ‘special’ for a reason. “At a lot of restaurants, the special is whatever they need to sell before it goes bad. Especially watch out for the soup of the day. If it contains fish or if it’s some kind of ‘gumbo,’ it’s probably the stuff they’re trying to get rid of.”
