The restaurant business is not as easy as some people think it is. There are a multitude of things that can go wrong, and some problems will eventually lead to the place closing shop. Even seasoned chefs and restaurateurs know this for a fact. Well known chains are not exempted from closing down, at least for some of its outlets and locations. Problems such as wrong location, high prices, lousy promotions, mediocre employees, not to mention poor food quality or unsatisfactory tastes, can definitely make the restaurateur decide to close shop and take the losses. Recently, several restaurants across the US have closed their doors permanently. It is disheartening to see your favorite place with a sign – “this establishment is permanently closed.” Some of us wonder why they folded up. Some are more obvious than others, but definitely there must have been a reason to permanently close.
