While it isn’t ideal, wanting to shy away from any type of social interaction if you have dementia shouldn’t be a surprise. Many times, having dementia causes people to be disinterested in socializing and any type of social situations. People with dementia become withdrawn and detached, even with their closest family members and loved ones. And they also tend to isolate themselves, refusing to join in their usual hobbies and activities, or basically anything that involves others.
