Another symptom of dementia is apathy, which generally means that the person that has it is insensitive, aloof, lethargic and detached. Aside from refusing to join in on their usual social interactions, they also don’t care to do anything that used to bring them joy before. They end up becoming cool, insensitive, and honestly have zero zest for life. Some might say that they ‘seem emotionally flat.’
