The Shih Tzu, whose name actually means ‘Lion Dog’ or ‘Little Lion,’ was originally from Tibet, but they became popular in China since they were given as pets to Chinese emperors. They come in many different colors, different fur types, and even different sizes, but one thing that’s the same is their very loving and subdued demeanor. Shih Tzus normally love to be close to their owner all throughout the day, and while they enjoy a few barks here and there, these stocky and short legged pups are happy to lay around with their owners eating treats all day long.
