Dirty Dancing (1987)

Where do we even begin with “Dirty Dancing?” This movie from 1987 is the perfect story of girl from a rich family who meets boy from the wrong side of town. Jennifer Grey plays Baby, a girl who goes on summer vacation with her family to a prestigious club, while Swayze is a dance instructor named Johnny Castle who’s too irresistible and ends up teaching Baby how to dance. While there are a number of moments that are worth watching over and over again, it’s the culminating dance scene where Swayze picks Grey up in a perfectly practiced move that’s totally mesmerizing. Almost every girl has dreamed that she was Grey floating weightlessly in the arms of Patrick Swayze at least once in their life.
