Disney has been known to put in a ton of subliminal or hidden messages in every single one of their cartoons, and “The Lion King” was no different. The original cartoon was released in 1994, and children and parents alike were in awe of how much both generations enjoyed the touching film. In this scene, Simba is looking over the mountain down into the jungle while the sky above twinkles with stars. But while it’s not exactly clear what the twinkling lights are trying to say, if you look a little closer, critics claim that they were spelling out the word sex, which is why it’s one of the more popular paused scenes in any cartoon.
