Never Neglect The Highway Code

No matter what you do, never neglect the highway code when in Austria. Jaywalking is a huge no-no, and if caught, you can get fined quite a hefty fee. Be sure to wait for the right and proper time to cross the street, even if there’s not a car in sight. And stick the pedestrian lanes, no matter how tempting it may be to cross the road elsewhere. And don’t get in the way of the cyclists on the bike lanes either, they won’t be shy to show you their displeasure of being in their way.
